The inaugural edition was a cozy, single-day event held from noon to 5 PM on Christmas Day, radiating holiday spirit and community warmth. Organised in collaboration with Cafe Terra and the Mussoorie Heritage Centre, this first year set the stage for something truly special.

Under the aegis of Shri Jakir Husain (former CEO) Cantt. Board Landour, these 8-9 stalls may have marked the modest beginnings of the Mela, but they sparked the imagination and excitement of all who attended. Little did they know, this quaint start would lead to the blossoming of a decade-old local festival, cherished by thousands of visitors and residents every year during the Christmas holidays in Mussoorie.
Each subsequent year, the festival has grown, drawing in more artisans, products, and, most importantly, a vibrant community eager to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories amidst the festive atmosphere. The Landour Mela has become a beloved tradition, transforming the scenic hills into a whimsical wonderland each December, a true testament to the power of community and creativity in celebrating the holiday spirit!
